Clinical Supervision for Counsellors
Supervision is a regular breathing space for you as a counsellor and human being, to attend to your Self in practice; to reflect on your clients; and to learn from your own encounters and emotional responses. Supervision welcomes your voice, your thoughts and feelings; and enables you to see your clients anew. And above all, sessions help us both to stay curious!
I currently provide clinical supervision to trainee counsellors or qualified counsellors. Sessions are £60 per hour, with a reduced student rate of £50 per hour; and are held either online, or in consulting rooms in the BD16, BD17 or BD18 areas near Shipley.
My supervision practice
I am a person-centred therapist with experience of:
• supervising counsellors with different approaches
• training student counsellors on placement
• co-ordinating a district network of counsellors
• counselling clients with a wide variety of needs
Previous supervisees said I provide a trustworthy, safe and engaging ethos which they carried into their work with counselling clients; and where they feel both supported and freed to develop. So if you’re looking for a reflective, non-judgemental clinical supervisor, do get in contact for a free initial consultation – you can ask me about my approach, and then reflect in your own time about whether you wish to set up regular meetings with me.
